Biography
Sabrina Kee (she/they) is a visual problem solver, a creative engineer, and a community organizer who uses the arts as an amplifier to advocate for progressive social change. She received her bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from SUNY New Paltz, focusing primarily on graphic design and photography, with minor studies in Sociology and Spanish Language and Latin American Culture. She considers herself to be a perpetual learner, passionate about art and culture throughout human history as it relates to our relationships with ourselves, others, the larger society, as well as the Earth and everything that inhabits it. Sabrina values interdisciplinary education, intersectionality, and an exposure to a diverse range of people, places, stories and experiences, with an understanding that their integration into decision making will assist us in the development of systems that allow us to thrive as a collective, for generations to come. With this as a foundation, Sabrina built a career of her own, with the mission of using the arts as a tool for both internal and external exploration, as a means toward internal and external revolution. Existing at the crossroads of blackness, queerness, womanhood and neurodivergence, she also works to hold space for other artists and content creators from marginalized groups to pursue their own creative passions.
Sabrina runs a portrait photography studio in the City of Newburgh, where she provides a safe space for people from all walks of life to celebrate themselves through traditional and creative imagery. She is the founder of CHARM (Community. Humanity. Art. Representation. Media.) and is a board member of OCQC (Orange County Queer Collective). Sabrina also facilitates “Sisterhood Support & Sanctuary”, a support group run through the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center. In addition, Sabrina is a drag performer by the name of KingKee, and is an admin of the 35k member Facebook group, “Bisexual, but make it fashion”!

Founder & CEO
Founder & CEO
I started this journey with a “Transition in Progress” post on Instagram on July 3rd, when I realized (or rather could no longer ignore) my need to combine my love for art with my passion for activism. My mission with CHARM is to bring marginalized folks to the forefront of the media, challenge beauty standards, give back to the community, and to bring awareness and funding much needed grassroots efforts.

Creative Director
I designed a set of social media content and short video reels to promote CHARM upon its public release on social media on October 2nd, 2023.

Event Planner
“A Bougie Ballroom Affair”
It’s more than just a night of fun and dance. On June 10, 2023, the “Bougie Ballroom Affair” was a night exclusively for LGBTQ+ people of color to celebrate themselves, honor the history their ancestors created, and bond with their chosen family.
We intend to have more ballrooms in the future, with this overall mission: to be a “for us, by us” space that centers Queer POC, for each ballroom to be tied to a specific cause, and for it to be a safe haven to build one’s chosen family.
If you would like to participate, volunteer, or otherwise help out with future ballrooms, email Sabrina at sabbykee@gmail.com
